There are lots of great things happening in March—from Women’s History Month to St. Patrick’s Day. To celebrate, we’re showing you some of our favorite places around the world for women to travel on their own, including great cities and relaxation destinations as well as how to have an amazing weekend in Dublin, Ireland. And with spring still a few weeks away, we’re still dreaming of warm-weather trips. If you’re looking for inspiration, our F1S insider Marisa tells us why Aruba is a great place for young families.

More than 50 members of Team F1S got Miami fever recently as we flew from all offices to celebrate our newest office launch. The location: the stunning new, eco-friendly 1 Hotel South Beach. Along with 200 guests, the Moet flowed, the live art dazzled, and red was the color of the evening. The after party continued on the hotel’s super chic rooftop, with spectacular views of city and sea.
Miami’s hotel scene is booming these days. We saw first-hand why as a number of these properties hosted us for the weekend. The 1 Hotel is among a handful of new lifestyle properties that have given South Beach a rev in its engine. A block away sits the W South Beach, known for its cosmopolitan wow-factor.
Hotelier Ian Schrager, who designed the Collins Avenue classic, Delano, has unveiled his latest work, The Miami Beach Edition, which features an underground ice skating rink and bowling alley. The 1950s-glamour-inspired Thompson in Midbeach would make Don Draper feel right at home. The new Hyatt Centric is geared to the trendy millennial traveler. While our WONDERWALL partner, The Setai Miami Beach, is the perfect five-star splurge, especially its 10,000-square-foot penthouse suite, a celebrity favorite.
Downtown Brickell, home to our new office, is also heating up with the towering Epic and Viceroy. Both luxury spots overlook Biscayne Bay. Another hotly anticipated opening later this year is Faena Hotel Miami Beach (designed by film director Baz Luhrmann), which will have an entire district named after it.
It was also exciting to check out parts of Miami that cement its growing reputation as a cultural hotspot. Thanks in part to Art Basel Miami, the city’s emerging arts scene boasts the newly opened Perez Art Museum and the soon-to-open Miami Science Museum next door.
The nearby Wynnwood Art District is an unmissable hub of contemporary street art. Empty warehouses have been transformed into blocks and blocks of vibrant outdoor murals by some of the world’s best graffiti masters. Another creative neighborhood to explore is the Miami Design District. Here some of the greatest luxury brands in the world sit side by side with contemporary art galleries, design houses, and eateries, all in a modern outdoor complex.
We’re so proud to be part of Miami’s unstoppable future.
