With the holidays and family get-togethers on the horizon this month, in this edition, one of First in Service’s clients is telling us all about her family’s recent trip to Egypt and Jordan—which included three generations traveling together! Speaking of trips, sometimes the best way to enjoy a business trip is to add some fun: Our co-founder, Erika, gives us the lowdown on her recent trip to Australia, where she did just that. On Friday, June 20th, 35 First in Service staffers took off from JFK to LAX. Our mission: to celebrate the opening of our swanky new Los Angeles office at the private Santa Monica Municipal Airport (SMO).
That night, festivities kicked off with 200 of our favorite industry colleagues, including friends from the Fairmont Miramar, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, Peninsula, Starwood, and Viceroy, at the iconic Museum of Flying. Champagne popped as the stylish crowd was entertained by the Satin Dollz, ‘40s pin up dancers, and the night’s band, The Roaries.
The next evening we hosted our office ribbon cutting ceremony with our Children’s Travel Ambassador Sofia Gonzalez doing the honors. The office, located in the Atlantic Aviation terminal of SMO, boasts front row views of the runway, at this airport favorite for celebrities, politicians and business leaders. The office will be run by industry experts Chad Rodarme, Mona medicineid.com Behringer, Mina Shaffiee, and Thelma Abhyankar.
Throughout the weekend, Travis Pham and the Santa Monica Convention and Visitors Bureau made sure we got to experience the best of our new town with a team bike tour along the beach, delicious lunch at Rusty’s Surf Ranch on the Santa Monica Pier, farmer’s market visit and comedy night. We’re so excited about our new home!
